Romanian reunion

Gabriela, one of my friends here, is about to head back to Romania for a month or so before flying over to the States to visit her sister, she leaves on Sunday and so last weekend was really last chance I had of catching up with her.

It's been great getting to know her and hanging out with her Romanian community; I love their Latino spirit and the life that they have about them! It reminds me of why I love Europe so much.

Gabriela's parents treated me to a meal out in a newly opened Italian restaurant, despite the very noisy environment and the difficulties in communication we had a great time.

On Saturday about 8 of the Romanians joined us for a picnic out at Halswell Quarry, the rain held off and we hung out for about 4 hours together, eating, chatting, having a few laughs and playing with Toto; Mel and Wanna's wee poodle puppy, an adorable little thing, almost as cute as Maisy, not quite though!
