World Cup madness!

It's common knowledge that Brazillians are crazy about football. Raphael, my Brazillian friend and father of three girls, is no exception to this rule.

Hence the reason he could not resist getting on a cheap Ryan Air flight to Frankfurt to soak up the World Cup atmosphere and watch his team on the large screen. All was going well until he fell asleep on the train and got off in a daze leaving his passport and all his money behind!

I was hanging out with his wife, Chrys, helping with the girls (who are an adorable handful!) when we heard the news...we were all quite worried about how he was going to get back to Glasgow. Even wee Lara was praying for his safe return!

When he finally walked through the door late on Thursday night, wee Lara gasped and said "Mummy, Jesus brought daddy back!"...granted the Brazillian embassy, Raphael's boss and a few rather frantic friends and relations had their parts to play, but in the grand scheme of things, Lara's 3 year old perspective on events was probably a more accurate reflection of the truth! :)

Kids with faith eh? Quite inspiring.
