Beauty beckons
I popped through to Ayr this evening to visit a mate, from Uni days, Ruth Hagan. After a good old chin wag over a tasty curry, we decided to finish the evening with a leisurely stroll along the beach, which somehow managed to develop into a cheeky wee dip in the sea!
The light was incredible when we left the house, almost a little eerie, it was a deep, rich orange colour, making it feel as though we were walking around inside a sepia photograph!
When we drove around the corner onto the sea front, we realised where this light was coming from since we were faced with this stunning sun set. The only appropriate response was to get in...so after a few excited squeals we found ourselves in the water; the warm colours of the sky did nothing to help the freezing temperatures though!
I had to drive home in a pair of Ruth's old pyjama's with all my wet clothes in a Premark bag under the seat! It was definately worth it though, nothing like a swim at sunset to make you feel alive and up for anything.
I think we even managed to scare the local boy racers with our irrepressibly spontaneous behaviour. ;)
