Amanda Bradley enters stage left!
Amanda arrived in Glasgow from London yesterday afternoon and I was so glad to see her- particularly after the tragic events the day before; we were both a little apprehensive about things returning to normality so as to allow her get on her plane but thankfully everything went smoothly.
After a few hours of intense catching up, we decided to head into the scottish mountains and packed for a couple of nights at our family caravan in the Trossachs. The weather was fantastic and we even managed to get sun burned - yes in Scotland, can you believe it?!
We spent most of Saturday at the top of the loch relaxing and swimming in the rather chilly waters of loch Voil...we did have a bit of a nightmare involving keys but the less said about that the better!
Suffice to say we had a great weekend near Balquidder "The Thin place" (so called because folk used to believe that there was a thin line between heaven and earth in that area and I think we would both have to agree with that!)

Glad you had a good time with Amanda! I'm sure it felt even more precious and special because of these troubled times in London. Thinking of all our friends and family that are travelling the world and (selfishly?) wish they will keep safe. The evil of terrorism knows no boundaries and nothing seems beneath them or untouched by them. However the power of goodness and love in people caught up in these awful situations only grows stronger and more resolute. It truly illustrates the indominable spirit of humanity!
thanks for your thoughts; who ever you are!
...Trudi is that you writing? seems like a very Trudi comment to me ;0)
