WInter Navs camp

Currently feeling pretty exhausted after what was quite a full on weekend at Navs camp, I think I may need about a week to recover! :o) It was a great camp though, full of good talks and a heap of laughs- we all had to make a 7 minute film in the afternoon about the olympics and each film had to star a pair of underpants (supplied for us) at all times, we got the genre of romantic comedy and had red underpants so we did a spoof of the snogging scene in Spiderman and won the "Best kiss" award; I was supergran (don't ask!); twas all very amusing so twas!

Going from the ridiculous to the sublime seemed to be the order of the day and I tired myself out changing roles from fooling around with the film to trying to be serious and lead a worship seminar, to dressing up as the witch from snow white (I know, at 26 you'd think I'd be past all that right?), to sitting on a board and answering questions about relationships, to drinking beer and watching the All Blacks win against Australia! No wonder I'm feeling a bit worse for wear!

Although this all sounds pretty chaotic and not in the least bit spiritual, I can assure you that God was definitely with us and was working away throughout the course of the weekend; the students commented that they particularly enjoyed all the different options offered to them in the various seminars (we had some graduates from Auckland and Christchurch doing seminars on a variety of relevant topics) as well as the worship, which was great.
