A profession with an identity crisis

Seriously, is it any wonder Occupational Therapists are insecure about their worth and value as professionals?...I mean take a look at our London premises; dull, unremarkable and covered in posters saying "You want to be a what?"...that doesn't exactly project a confident professional image now does it?

Inside it wasn't much better; the main feature was a trophy cabinet displaying-and I kid you not!-hand painted vases and patch work quilts!! Hello, would my profession like to step into the 21st centuary and get a seriously needed make over?!

I was expecting an old manor house with a bit of character and history, perhaps sporting a grand entrance and surrounded in carefully cultivated gardens...but I should have known better, a functional, no fuss building is much more in keeping with all things Occupational Therapy...maybe I should have been an architect like my dad?!
