Climbing the Ben

On top of the World!

Ever since I looked down on Ben Lomond from the plane on my way back from Canada, I've been dying to climb up it; well finally on Sunday I did just that! Kemi and Vicky came with me. It was their first ever experience of walking up a Munro - I think they were suitably impressed! To quote Vicky's email from this morning;

"I've never been in such a beautiful place... I think I've fallen in love with Scotland, hahaha!".

We did have the perfect day for it; sunshine all the way and just a light (but bloomin baltic!) breeze. It was intensley cold at the top but that definitely didn't distract from the amazing view...plus there were lots of fine, strapping, young lads on the trail who were all very courteous and helped to restore my faith in my fellow Scotsmen!!
