Creative thinking
What a good day! I usually meet with Leah on Tuesday mornings to pray so that kicked the day off well as you might imagine then I went into college and did a bit of my assignment on Billy Elliot (I kid you not!) before meeting with my mentor woman, Kathy. We went to this lovely wee garden place called Mono Vale and had a really interesting chat about creativity and God as the creator, which actually challenged me to think more about playing my violin and singing again, after our chat we went to feed some lambs…bizarre I know! Then it was back to the flat to prepare for Navs tonight.
As I was preparing Lynton called to say that I had to take the large meeting since he was “crook” as he put it….I was a bit nervous but strangely excited at the same time. I had the idea of putting one of the verses from our study in Philippians 2
“Each of you should not look only to your own interests but also to the interests of others” up on the white board to encourage the group to pray about people they knew and it seemed to work; we’ve never prayed together in that kind of way as a big group since we try to make it as friendly to seeking people as poss but last night it was mostly our lot so that was cool!
After the big meeting my small group went really well, a huge answer to pray since it has been quite a struggle over the last couple of terms. A guy called Ruben joined us and made a really great contribution, which helped heaps, thanks God!
It’s 7am here and I’m about to go snow boarding!!!
Later! From Ayley
